In this article, I will discuss the theater compilation of “Bocchi the Rock!”, a popular four-panel manga by Aki Hamaji, currently serialized in Houbunsha’s “Manga Time Kirara MAX”.
“Bocchi the Rock!” is a coming-of-age story about Hitori Gotou, a lonely girl who loves the guitar, and her journey of growth through music with her friends in the band she formed by chance, known as the “Kessoku Band”.
The TV anime, which aired from October 2022, was a big hit. It has been decided that the first part of the theater compilation, “Bocchi the Rock! Re:”, will be released in Spring 2024, and the second part, “Bocchi the Rock! Re:Re:”, will be released in Summer 2024.
Recently, new character visuals of “Kessoku Band” members, featured in the theater compilation, have been unveiled on the official website. These visuals, drawn by the character designer and chief animation director Kerorira, have raised the expectations of fans.
